Storage
Use a hat box or support that does not deform the crown or brim. Do not stack heavy objects on top or leave the hat for long periods in a position that changes its geometry.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and strong heat, which can affect colour, material and shape.
Dust and surface care
For dry dust, use a clean soft hat brush with light pressure. Stop if the surface begins to change or the felt starts to roughen.
Do not use household chemicals, solvents or aggressive stain removers unless they are confirmed safe for the specific felt and trim.
If the hat gets wet
Remove excess moisture without aggressive rubbing, gently restore any obviously displaced shape and let the hat dry naturally at room temperature.
Do not accelerate drying with a hair dryer, radiator or other direct heat source. If the shape has changed noticeably, ask for advice before trying to steam or reshape it yourself.
Stains and significant deformation
The more serious the stain or deformation, the less useful experimentation becomes. An unknown product may change the felt colour or damage the trim.
Take a few clear photos in neutral light and ask for model-specific care advice.
Short checklist
- avoid pressure that distorts crown or brim during storage;
- avoid strong direct heat for drying;
- do not aggressively rub wet felt;
- do not apply unknown chemicals;
- do not force a complex shape back into place;
- when unsure, ask for model-specific care guidance first.
